Southern Kings star hooker Marutlulle joins Bulls

Southern Kings star performer‚ hooker Edgar Marutlulle‚ has signed for the Blue Bulls ahead of this year's Currie Cup season. The 28-year-old former Lions hooker delivered consistent performances that impressed several teams during the Kings’ Super Rugby campaign.On Wednesday the Bulls confirmed that they had signed the hooker‚ who recently represented the South Africa A side‚ on a three-year contract which will see him compete for the blue No2 jersey with captain Adriaan Strauss and Bandise Maku in next year’s Super Rugby campaign."Edgar has been one of the stand-out hookers this year and I am very pleased that he will be joining us‚” Bulls’ high performance manager Xander Janse van Rensburg said. “With Adriaan Strauss on Bok duty in the next couple of months‚ it was important for us to add to our depth with a high quality hooker and Edgar is exactly that. We have Jaco Visagie and Bandise Maku in the squad and Edgar will add some healthy competition and depth."The side from Pretoria also announced the return to Loftus Versfeld of former SA Sevens‚ Junior Springboks and Bulls age-group flanker‚ Shaun Adendorff. The 24 year-old star flanker is currently playing for Boland in the Currie Cup Qualifiers and helped the team confirm its Premier Division status with a number of strong performances.Adendorff played in Pretoria as a junior before opting to join the Blitzboks in Stellenbosch.He has now successfully returned to 15's."These are exciting times for the Blue Bulls. Shaun won the gold medal with the Junior Springboks‚ then made us proud while playing for the Blitzboks and is currently playing great rugby for Boland."We are so pleased to welcome him back in the Bulls Kraal at the end of the season‚” said Janse van Rensburg. - TMG Digital..
