Former Mamelodi Sundowns star defender Siyanda Xulu is on the verge of leaving his Russian club Rostov and is keen on move back to the PSL, with reports on Thursday claiming he was seen at Kaizer Chiefs.

Soccer Laduma reports that the 23-year-old Bafana Bafana defender, who is currently negotiating an exit from his Russian club Rostov, was seen at Naturena.

“Siyanda has found an agreement with Rostov and is now free to move on. Nothing has been agreed to yet with any club and they (the player’s camp) are assessing their options, both in the PSL and abroad,” the source told the soccer website.

The Chiefs squad reported back for pre-season on June 18 for medical assessments and, according to the website, if negotiations between Xulu and the club go well he could be unveiled as a Chiefs player in the coming days.
