A planned clear-the-air meeting on Tuesday between Kaizer Chiefs’ officials and its estranged former captain and goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune has apparently been postponed.

Details around why the scheduled meeting between Khune and Chiefs was postponed are still sketchy.

However, Times LIVE contacted Vina Maphosa, Chiefs spokesperson who confirmed, without providing any reasons, that the meeting was not fundamentally cancelled but postponed.

"Yes it is true...the meeting was postponed," said Maphosa.

The former Bafana Bafana skipper, whose contract with Chiefs expired at the end of June, met with the club’s football manager Bobby Motaung on Friday and the meeting was rescheduled for Tuesday July 28.

The 28-year-old Khune is currently training on his own at the Nike Training Centre in Soweto.
