Itumeleng Khune’s understudy at Kaizer Chiefs, Brilliant Khuzwayo, has replaced the injured goalkeeper in the Bafana Bafana squad.

Spiderkid, as he is affectionately known as, has been ruled out of the two FIFA World Cup qualifying encounters against Angola through a knee injury he picked up in training.

According to the official Twitter account for the South African national football team, Khune has been withdrawn and Khuzwayo has take up his place.

“Brilliant Khuzwayo has been called up to replace the injured Itumeleng Khune in the Bafana Bafana squad to face Angola,” said the Tweet.

The first clash will be the away leg, to be played on Friday, November 13 at the Ombaka National Stadium in Benguela, Angola.

Bafana Bafana will then host Angola four days later (Tuesday, November 17) in Durban at the Moses Mabhida Stadium.
