Kaizer Chiefs football manager Bobby Motaung has branded his arch-rivals Orlando Pirates as “top-class” after the Buccaneers beat Al Alhy 5-3 on aggregate to reach the CAF Confederation Cup final.

The Sea Robbers, who lost to Ahly in the CAF Champions League final in 2013, will lock horns with Tunisian giants Etoile du Sahel in a two-legged final next month following a 1-0 win in Orlando and a gutsy 4-3 triumph in.

Motaung, whose side will compete in the Champions League again after winning the Absa Premiership last season, told KickOff on Thursday that Amakhosi definitely participate in Africa’s biggest club competition and they will give it a good go.

"As for Pirates, they are top-class; they've done very well,” Motaung told the website.

“There is some quality knowledge they have about Africa I'm sure, but I think it also has to do with the energy they put in when playing in Africa.

The first leg is on November 21 in Soweto and the second leg seven days later in Tunis.
