Bloemfontein Celtic confirmed that they have parted ways with head coach Clinton Larsen, the club announced on Monday.

According to Celtic's official Twitter account, Lehlohonolo Seema will take over as interim coach as they search for Larsen's permanent replacement.

Larsen returned to the club in December last year following the sacking of Ernst Middendorp.

The KwaZulu-Natal born coach was relieved of his duties back in 2013 and ended up at Celtic's sister club, Roses United, the following year.

Celtic suffered a 2-0 defeat this past weekend against Mpumalanga Black Aces and now find themselves stationed at 6th place in the Absa Premiership.

The 44-year-old former Orlando Pirates midfielder becomes the fourth casualty of the Premier Soccer League (PSL) season.

Celtic provincial rivals Free State Stars were the first team to part ways with their coach when coach Kinnah Phiri was fired for a poor start to the season and was replaced by German mentor Ernst Middendorp.
