Kekana, Nxumalo in Bafana Bafana Afcon squad to face Cameroon

Bafana Bafana coach Shakes Mashaba has announced a 25-man squad for South Africa's two AFCON 2017 qualifiers against Cameroon.

The first match will be played at Stade Omnisports de Limbe on Saturday, March 26 at 16:30 (SA time).

On Tuesday, March 29, the Indomitable Lions will travel to Durban for the return encounter.

Kick-off is scheduled for 19:00 at the Moses Mabhida Stadium.

This is Mashaba's first international squad announcement for 2016 having last assembled a squad at the end of October 2015 for back-to-back clashes against Angola for Round 2 of the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia qualifiers.

Bafana are currently bottom of their qualifying group, five points behind log-leaders Cameroon with four matches remaining.

Bafana Bafana squad:

Goalkeepers: Itumeleng Khune, Jackson Mabokgwane, Darren Keet

Defenders: Siyabonga Nhlapo, Asavela Mbekile, Anele Ngcongca, Thabo Matlaba, Cheslyn Jampies, Eric Mathoho, Sifiso Hlanti, Rivaldo Coetzee, Thulani Hlatshwayo

Midfielders: Andile Jali, Kamohelo Mokotjo, Thulani Serero, Themba Zwane, William Twala, Jabulani Shongwe, Mpho Makola, Mandla Masango, Hlompho Kekana

Strikers: Thamsanqa Gabuza, Prince Nxumalo, Tokelo Rantie, Dino Ndlovu
