Bloemfontein Celtic set off on the road at the weekend as coach Serame Letsoaka switches the focus of their pre-season preparations from tactical work to match fitness. The players can expect many nights away from home as the club tone their skills before next month’s kick off of the new season. The Free State club will be away from home consistently over the next month as they seek to do in game situations what Letsoaka has been drilling on the training field. “We’ve been doing a lot of physical and then tactical work over the last three weeks since coming back from our holidays. Now I want to give the players as much game time as I possibly can‚” Letsoaka told TimesLive.Celtic’s adventures start this weekend in Richards’ Bay where they take part in a four-team tournament with fellow top-flight outfit Lamontville Golden Arrows (which is Letsoaka’s previous club) plus National First Division clubs AmaZulu and hosts Thanda Royal Zulu. Next week Celtic have been invited to go across the border to Botswana to play two friendlies although Letsoaka says the details are still to be finalised before they travel on to Rustenburg to meet Platinum Stars away on August 3.The club will then move into residence in a Johannesburg hotel and play several games over a seven day period‚ culminating in participation in a one-day tournament at Bidvest Wits on August 14 where the host club‚ Highlands Park and SuperSport United will also participate. - TMG Digital..
