BIDVEST Wits coach Gavin Hunt believes Thulani Hlatshwayo can become a great leader for club and country if he "comes out of his shell". Hlatshwayo captained Bafana Bafana for the fourth time in a row when they took on Ghana in a friendly at Moses Mabhida Stadium (7pm) on Tuesday night.Hunt has suggested that the country has not seen Hlatshwayo's real leadership qualities because by his own admission the player is a "shy" person."We've got a fantastic leader‚ but he just doesn't want to come out of his shell this boy. If he comes out of his shell‚ he can be immense. I want him to start banging his head against the wall a little bit more and he would be better‚" said Hunt recently."But he is a fantastic leader and he is learning the role. I think Wits has a great future under a captain like him. So I'm looking forward to it‚" he added.Hlatshwayo led the Clever Boys to MTN8 success after they beat Mamelodi Sundowns 3-0 at Mbombela Stadium recently. He agreed with Hunt that he is still familiarising himself with his leadership responsibilities at club and national team level."It was my first time winning a trophy as a captain and I'm proud of myself."Honestly‚ I'm a shy guy but my coach (Hunt) has seen something in me and made me captain. It is something that I didn't see in myself and I'm proud of myself‚" he said. The Soweto-born defender first wore the armband in Bafana's 3-1 win over Swaziland in a friendly international last year...
