The future of former Bafana Bafana captain Mbulelo “OJ” Mabizela at National First Division outfit Royal Eagles hangs in the balance.

The controversial former Hotspur midfielder star has been suspended by his club on allegations of misconduct.

“We’re not in a position to divulge any details at this moment,” Eagles general manager Costa Bellos told Times LIVE on Wednesday.

Mabizela flatly refused to talk about the matter.

Bellos said the player was subjected to a disciplinary hearing last week Monday and that an outcome can be expected in the “next couple of days.”

Mabizela, known for his many previous indiscretions that harmed his once promising career, joined Eagle in October 2015 and was seen as a player whose experience can help the ambitious KwaZulu-Natal outfit gain their first promotion to the top flight but his future with the club now hangs in the balance.
