Burkina Faso's star player in rich vein of form ahead Bafana Bafana clash

Burkina Faso’s star player‚ Bertrand Traore‚ will go up against South Africa on Saturday in a rich vein of form even if coach Paulo Duarte might have a headache over where to field him. The 21-year-old has played every week since being sent out on loan to Ajax Amsterdam by Chelsea at the end of August and won every game he has take part in with his new club. But he is no longer playing central striker‚ where Guus Hiddink gave him a chance for Chelsea last season. At Ajax he has been banging in goals from the right side of midfield.“I can play anywhere‚ as long as it is not goalkeeper or defending‚” he joked in the Dutch media ahead of his departure home for the World Cup qualifier against Bafana Bafana in Ouagadougou on Saturday.“On the right I’m able to get to the same level as I can as if I was centre forward. But at the end of the day I’m happy just to be a team player.” Traore made his international debut at 16 and despite his tender years is now a hardened national team veteran. He will team up in midfield with elder brother Alain and with wide specialist Jonathan Pitroipa‚ who was voted player of the tournament when Burkina Faso finished runners-up at the 2013 African Nations Cup in South Africa.Bafana will be well advised to keep a close eye on Traore‚ who Chelsea signed while he was still a schoolboy. – TMG Sport..
