Manyama sweeps up PSL's player of the month awards

Cape Town City captain Lebogang Manyama has won the Absa Premiership’s Player of the Month award for October-November and December.

Upon receiving the award at the PSL offices on Monday afternoon‚ ever-hard working midfielder Manyama thanked his City teammates for helping to scoop the accolade.

This season the 26-year-old has scored an impressive seven goals and helped steer his side to Nedbank Cup honours and to the top of the league standings.

“It’s an honour and it has been a team effort to win this award‚” Manyama said.

“I am taking this award for my teammates and everyone at Cape Town City‚ from the staff to the technical team.”

Cape Town City’s Eric Tinkler was named the best coach in the league for the month of December.

SuperSport United coach Stuart Baxter won that prize for the months of October and November.
