Ajax and CT City boosted by availability of Zambian and Zimbabwean imports respectively
Ajax Cape Town and Cape Town City have received a boost ahead of their respective weekend Absa Premiership clashes after work permits were obtained for their new foreign players.
Ajax will be able to field Zambian striker Aubrey Funga in their away clash to Polokwane City on Saturday afternoon after his documentation came through.
Funga joined from Zambian champions Zanaco last month and has had something of a frustrating wait while compatriot Roderick Kabwe has played in their opening two games of 2017.
Funga adds to the forward options of coach Stanley Menzo‚ who looks to still be without Prince Nxumalo‚ who suffered an epileptic fit last week and missed last weekend’s 2-0 loss to Cape Town City.

City have also received a work permit for Zimbabwe international goalkeeper Tarenda Mkuruva‚ who will provide competition for regular number one Shu-Aib Walters‚ and he could feature against Orlando Pirates on Saturday night at the Cape Town Stadium.
Mkuruva played all three games for Zimbabwe at the recent African Nations Cup finals in Gabon. The 20-year-old signed for City earlier this month after leaving former club Dynamos.
