News Corp Chief Executive and Chairman Rupert Murdoch leaves with his wife Wendi Deng (C) and lawyer Joel Kline (L) after a parliamentary committee hearing on phone hacking at Portcullis House in London July 19, 2011. Murdoch was attacked by a protester on Tuesday while giving evidence to a British parliamentary committee at which he defended his son and his company over a scandal that has rocked the British establishment.

Computer hackers broke into the website of Rupert Murdoch's best-selling British tabloid and altered the front page of The Sun to show a fake report about the media mogul's death.

The hackers redirected visitors to the Twitter feed of hacker group LulzSec, which on Monday posted on The Sun's website a front page story under the headline: "Media mogul's body discovered."

The hackers tweeted: "We have joy, we have fun, we have messed up Murdoch's Sun."
