Sienna's new love: Cape Town
British film star Sienna Miller has joined the increasingly large list of international celebrities who have fallen in love with Cape Town.
The US-born actress recently said she felt like she was in California during the shooting of her latest film, The Girl.
She recently told Glamour UK that the mother city - in her mother Josephine's country of birth - was "a superb place to make films".
The 30-year-old, who is dating actor Tom Sturridge, was in this country to shoot a TV movie about the relationship between filmmaker Alfred Hitchcock and former model Tippi Hedren.
The production company Moonlighting Films applied to the city for a permit to shoot from December 8 to January 16.
"The crews are excellent, and the light is wonderful. And, as a bonus, it looks just like California," the Alfie actress said.
London's Mirror newspaper reported at the weekend that Hedren passed on "details of her shocking experiences" at the hands of Hitchcock to Miller, who is portraying her.
Hitchcock is known to have resorted to stalker tactics in an attempt to win Hedren's heart, which didn't sit well with hers.
She was quoted as saying in the Mirror: "He was evil and deviant, almost to the point of being dangerous.
"He had my handwriting analysed, he had me followed and it was as if I was being engulfed by him. He tried to control what I ate, what I wore and how I lived."
The Hunger Games actor Toby Jones portrays Hitchcock in the Julian Jarrold-directed story.
