Bus drivers for luxury liners are to join the bus drivers' strike.

Springbok Atlas Luxury Charters and the Unitrans Group would not operate from tomorrow, the Transport Omnibus Workers Union said.

Piotrans drivers, who operate Johannesburg's Rea Vaya buses, have also joined the nationwide strike.

The SA Transport and Allied Workers Union announced the strike last week following a deadlock in wage talks. Workers demanded an 18% hike but employers have offered 6.5%.
