Every year an idyllic farm in Underberg morphs from picturesque rural landscape to seething tent metropolis. This year this rustic plaas paradise will again host hordes of South Africans in the 25th instalment of Splashy Fen.

This year's musical lineup features some of the best-known local acts, including Vusi Mahlasela, Das Kapital, Tree 63, Dan Patlansky, Matthew Mole, Jeremy Loops and Shortstraw.

Those with adventurous inclinations can swim , fish , hike or mountain bike while their friends sleep off hangovers. There are also family campsites and children's play areas so grandma can spend her long weekend relaxing instead of babysitting the kids.
