In its four seasons so far, Game of Thrones has bagged 10 Emmy awards and stands to win as many as 19 more.

The nominations for next month's 66th Primetime Emmy Awards were announced yesterday.

But for all its cult following, GoT always seems to trip up at the final hurdle. It has only won once in the bigger categories: in 2011, when Peter Dinklage won the outstanding supporting actor in a drama series title for his role as Tyrion Lannister.

The Emmys will be presented on August25, when GoT will go up against Breaking Bad and True Detective .

The Hollywood Reporter said some newcomers made big impressions, including HBO's True Detective, which it said "drew a big buzz".
