Bushmans Kloof Wilderness Reserve in the Cederberg is the Cape winner in the Diners Club annual Winelist Awards.

The reserve has received a diamond award in the event every year since 2008.

This year 208 restaurants from across the country submitted wine lists for judging by a panel led by wine critic Dave Hughes.

Of the 100 Cape entrants, 33 won diamond awards in the results announced yesterday.

Wine lists were judged according to content (35%), balance (25%), suitability (15%) and presentation (25%).

"Each year we see the standards increase and are further impressed by the entrants," said Hughes.

The jewel in Bushmans Kloof's crown is its Bouchard Finlayson selection. The reserve sources its wines from emerging and established wine estates, and has a large selection from the Cederberg and West Coast.
