Affidavits said to expose the truth about the activities of suspected crime boss Radovan Krejcir - and to allegedly link him to the murder of Teazer's boss Lolly Jackson - have been given to the police.

Lawyers for George Louca, who is to stand trial for Jackson's murder in April, told prosecutors last week that they had several statements prepared by Louca in which he named Krejcir as Jackson's alleged killer.

Krejcir has denied any involvement in Jackson's murder.

Krejcir is listed as a state witness in the case against Louca.

Prosecutor Paul Schutte yesterday asked the Palm Ridge Magistrate's Court, where Louca is to stand trial, to grant a postponement. He confirmed that Louca's lawyers had made representations to the prosecution.

After Jackson's murder, former Gauteng crime intelligence boss Joey Mabaso said Louca had confessed to the killing before fleeing to Cyprus.

Louca, according to his lawyer, Owen Bloomberg, will now reveal the "whole truth".

Louca has given statements to the police but not to the Hawks, said Bloomberg, because of "certain concerns".

"Caution is needed. I cannot comment on the contents except that they are significant. This affidavit [in which Louca alleges that Krejcir murdered Jackson] is not the only statement Louca has given," Bloomberg said.

" We are discussing a deal with the prosecuting authority. The statements have been made in the interests of justice."

National Prosecuting Authority spokesman Velekhaya Mgobhozi denied that a deal was being negotiated.

"We were approached last week by Louca's lawyers but there is no deal.

"We have enough evidence to proceed to trial now but all representations will be considered."

Krejcir's lawyer, Piet du Plessis, said: "Krejcir is on record as saying he had nothing to do with Jackson's murder and has no knowledge of it or of the motive.

"Louca is talking absolute nonsense.

"The state advocate - who is Krejcir's lawyer in Louca's trial - will now have to decide whom to charge."
