Rapper Drake almost beat The Beatles, equalling their record, which has lasted for half a century, of having 14 songs in the Billboard Hot 100 at the same time.

The US chart record was set in 1964 by The Beatles.

All 14 songs come from Drake's 17-track album If You're Reading This It's Too Late, many of them featuring collaborations with artists such as Nicki Minaj , Lil Wayne and Chris Brown on the track Only.

The New Musical Express website reported that Drake now boasts 85 Hot 100 entries, the fifth-highest number of all time.

The NME also noted that none of The Beatles' 14 tracks involved a collaborator.

If You're Reading This It's Too Latebroke streaming records on Spotify. It was streamed 17.3million times in the three days after its release - with 6.8million streamings on February 14 alone.
