R1m prize for a couple of tasks

Is our relationship worth R1-million? That is the question eight couples are asking themselves as they move in together in Cape Town today.

The couples were selected from hundreds who auditioned last month for M-Net's new reality show Power Couple.

The 14 episodes will be screened from August, with the winning couple being named in a live finale in November.

Publicist Lani Lombard said the couples would take part in 21 challenges, including physical tasks and general knowledge, which would lead to eliminations.

The show will be hosted by Ryan O'Connor, host of the breakfast show on Cape Town radio station KFM.
