Boxer back in the ring after killing opponent

Liz Butler returns to boxing tomorrow night seven months after Phindile Mwelase died from head injuries she suffered in their October 10 bout in Pretoria. Butler will take on current South African middleweight champion Mapule Ngubane in a non-title six rounder, which will form part of the 10-bout card that will be organised by Real Steel Promotions at Presleys in Lynwood. The same promotion company, owned by André Thysse and Pieter de Wet, was in charge of the bout between Butler and Mwelase at HTS Garden Hall.Thysse said he had spoken to Butler and she assured him that she was ready to fight again."I do wonder what will go on in the back of her mind the moment she lands a punch, but I will be there to monitor everything," said Thysse.Ngubane last fought on August 31 when she ended the reign of Esther Mashiya in Welkom, registering her third win...
