That little pill you bought online to perk up your sex life might be lined with brick dust and taking it could have fatal consequences. Male sexual enhancement pills are among the most counterfeited drugs in the world and South African men are some of the biggest consumers. This is according to Pharma Dynamics, a generic pharmaceutical company.The company found that over the past year SARS had confiscated 207882 male enhancement pills worth R21-million.In the most recent bust, on Monday, SARS seized 40000 fake Viagra pills when customs officials conducted an inspection at the Johannesburg International Mail Centre. The pills had been sent from Hong Kong and were labelled as plastic toys.A simple Google search will give any flaccid customer access to Rock Hard, Mojo Nights, Black Mamba, Bullet Proof or Lightning Rod - the creative names for "male enhancement" pills.Tumi Motsei, spokesman for Pharma Dynamics, said: "A consumer doesn't really know what ingredients are in these pills. Some of the pills could poison you, others could have no effect and sometimes you may even die.""There are literally hundreds of online websites where sexual enhancement pills can be bought for as little as R9 a tablet. Currently the cheapest legal version in SA goes for around R50 a pill," she said.Motsei said some of the pills contain acid, blue ink, commercial paint and even brick dust...
