Team SA to test its skills in Brazil

In the land where the samba is king, a skills showdown of a different nature will take place. From fitting air conditioners and building refrigerators, to installing a plumbing system, skilled young people from around the world will showcase their knowledge at the WorldSkills International Competition in Sao Paulo, Brazil, next month.The biennial competition, dubbed the "Olympics of Skills", will this year give 21 South Africans the opportunity to test themselves against the most demanding international standards in 19 skills categories.Team South Africa consists of young people studying motoring, technology, robotics, arts, beauty and hospitality, who won the national competition held in Cape Town this year...
