Polygamy: It's a man thing

Men in Britain are much more likely than women to believe that humans are naturally polygamous, according to a YouGov survey. While the majority of the country's population (66%) believe polygamy is morally wrong, 46% of men believe monogamous relationships are unnatural .In contrast, only 32% of women believe that humans are not monogamous by nature.Both genders appeared to agree that polygamous relationships can work.When asked whether they thought "people can successfully manage monogamous relationships if they work at it hard enough", 72% of men and 73% of women answered in the affirmative.Asked whether they thought polygamous marriage would be acceptable in 30 years' time, 58% said no, 15% said yes and 27% were unsure.The YouGov poll sought to establish whether attitudes to marriage have changed since the introduction of same-sex marriage in the UK in March 2014.The research suggested Britons would not be comfortable with further changes to the marriage law. ..
