Women are from Venus, bad lines are from Australia

While most people have mastered the art of flirting, it seems Australians still rely on pick-up lines. According to a recent Wrigley's EXTRA survey, the cheesy one liner is Australian men's preferred weapon of mass seduction, with two out of three guys confessing to using pick-up lines.Surprisingly, the most successful line is "I forgot my phone number, can I have yours?" But success is a relative term as, according to Wrigley's research, only 5% of women reacted positively to pick-up lines.Wrigley Marketing Director Tami Cunningham told the Daily Mail the simple approach was the best, with 50% of Australian singles preferring an interesting conversation or a simple compliment to an elaborate gesture.Appearance is also important, with 40% of women saying they liked their men well-groomed and fresh-breathed . But if you must use a pick-up line, these are the five best :1. "I forgot my phone number, can I have yours?"2. "I think there is something wrong with my phone. Could you try calling it for me to see if it rings?"3. "Do you believe in love at first sight ... or should I walk around you three or four more times?"4. "Hi, I'm doing a survey. What's your name? What's your phone number? Are you free next Saturday?"5. "Have a feel of this shirt - do you know what that feels like? Boyfriend material."..
