Fans of the hit podcast Serial will either be delighted or horrified to learn that it will be adapted for television. Not much is known about what form the adaption will take, but it is to be produced by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller (the team behind The Lego Movie) for Fox 21 Television Studios.British producer Jeremy Thomas has succeeded in his 30-year quest to make an adaptation of JG Ballard's novel High Rise. Directed by Ben Wheatley and starring Tom Hiddleston, High Rise is the story of an apartment block and the rivalries that develop between its residents.One of the world's best-known film books, the collection of conversations between French New Wave director Francois Truffaut and Alfred Hitchcock, is now the subject of a documentary. Directed by critic Kent Jones, the film looks at the influence the book has had over the years and the relationship between the two directors.
