Rapper AKA sees a bit of himself in host of The Daily Show Trevor Noah. "I see a lot of similarities in Trevor and myself. While we are on different paths and in different lanes, myself, much like the rest of this continent's great talents, we are on a mission to change the way the WORLD sees us," AKA wrote alongside an Instagram picture of the two of them on the set of The Daily Show in New York. The rapper, whose real name is Kienan Forbes, was in Dallas, Texas, over the weekend, when he scooped two major awards in the second annual African Muzik Magazine Awards. The only South African nominated, he snagged the award for best Southern African male artist and a second one for his hit track All Eyes On Me, a track he collaborated on with Burna Boy, Da L.E.S and JR.Before returning to South Africa he met Noah in New York and watched The Daily Show filmed live.In a lengthy Instagram post, AKA praised Noah's success in the US, saying it was surreal to see how popular he was."It was really cool seeing first-hand how big of a deal he has become in the States (the guy has ads in the subway, on the top of cabs ? Even!)," AKA wrote.AKA said watching the show live was a bit surreal as well."I have been a big fan of The Daily Show for years (even now I watch it, see him as the host and have to keep reminding myself it's not a show on M-Net or something)," he added. At the end of his post the rapper said there was no better time to be African and that the US visit was the most inspiring experience of his life.AKA recently courted controversy when DJ Zinhle, the mother of his child, posted a blog in which she detailed his alleged affair with television personality Bonang Matheba.AKA has denied any talk of an affair with Matheba. ..
