MacGyver's coming back

Sharp-en your Swiss Army knives. Yes everybody's favourite man in a tiny room with only a string and a piece of chewing gum - MacGyver- is getting a reboot. There'll be no Richard Dean Anderson in the CBS reboot which has been green-lit for a pilot episode. This version imagines MacGyver as a twentysomething who gets recruited into a clandestine organisation where his knack for problem-solving is used to prevent disasters.Rumours are that director Steven Soderbergh is, in spite of his assertion that he wouldn't, returning to feature film directing. Deadline.com reports that Soderbergh will team up with Channing Tatum and Michael Shannon for Logan Lucky, a heist film which will begin production this year.South African director Francois Verster's award- winning documentary Dreams of Shahrazad is screening at The Bioscope in Johannesburg from today until Thursday.
