Oscar Time: 'We're lost for words'

Normally Oscar predictions are made easier by looking at the awards that precede them but this year the guilds, Golden Globes and Baftas have been far more divergent in their tastes than usual.

Here's a look at the major categories, who the frontrunners are and who we'd like to win.

BEST PICTURE

Nominees: The Big Short, Bridge of Spies, Brooklyn, Mad Max: Fury Road, The Martian, The Revenant, Room, Spotlight.

Frontrunner: The Revenant

Watch out for: Spotlight
