The party expects more than 100000 members and supporters to fill Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium.ANC head of campaigns Nomvula Mokonyane said the party would deploy 2500 marshals to ensure the safety of supporters and leaders. The ANC has organised four trains to transport supporters from the Free Sate to Eastern Cape city. Mokonyane said in addition to speeches by President Jacob Zuma and alliance leaders, supporters should expect a "big surprise"."This is going to be something that is out of the ordinary. We are also this time around going to launch an election song."It is going to be a wow; it's not going to be an ANC choir singing. It is one of the most prominent artists in South Africa that we have commissioned for this particular song and it has to do with current affairs, because the ANC adapts," she said.ANC bigwigs arrived in numbers in the metro yesterday, in a show of force ahead of a hotly contested election. The party's decision to launch its election manifesto in Port Elizabeth is seen as a strategy to revive its popularity in a metro where it got less than 50% of votes in the last general election. ..
