Talking about the eco carwash

While Gauteng has not been declared a drought disaster area, it is preserving its water usage. Lebogang Maile, MEC for economic, environment, agriculture and rural development launched the eco carwash project in the Vaal aimed at saving fresh water.According to the International Carwash Association, washing a car at home can use between 360 and 630 litres of water.With high unemployment among the youth, many have opened their own carwash businesses to become active in the economy.Maile said it was important to support these small establishments with the latest innovations.The Gauteng government is rolling out Eco Wash equipment as part of its township economic revival plan. Once the pilot project has proven successful, the project will be rolled out to the entire province."This is a billion-rand industry and it's important we support it. Our aim is to take it to government offices and malls using the best equipment that preserves our water," said Maile.He said the advantage of the project would be to formalise carwashes, integrating them into the economy."The focus will be on informal carwashes who seek to improve and modernise the state of their small businesses," Maile said...
