Yves Saint Laurent Beauté opened its first boutique store in Africa last week at a launch attended by media personalities and celebrities including singer ChianoSky, actress Jay Anstey, Grazia magazine editor Zanele Kumalo and former Miss South Africa Melinda Bam. The launch was hosted by Jackie Burger, originator of Salon 58.The Yves Saint Laurent Beauté boutique in Sandton City offers iconic make-up products, including its popular Touche Éclat and a piano bar of lipsticks and nail lacquers. It will also carry the Top Secrets range of skincare and YSL's Le Vestiaire des Parfums fragrance line.WINTER TONES: Jay Anstey at the launchMamokete Metsing, one of the make-up artists at the launch, shared her top make-up tips. The look for the season is an ultra-natural complexion, as worn by Bam, Kumalo, Lee-Ann Liebenberg, Anstey and Burger, given an extra pop by adding lipstick with a warm winter tone.NATURAL: Magazine editor Zanele KumaloApply highlighter in dots under the eyes, across the cheekbones, around and down the nose. Metsing recommends Touche Éclat.Apply a mattifying balm with a sponge applicator onto cheeks, forehead and chin in soft sweep motions for a rosy glow and smooth finish.EXTRA POP: Former Miss SA Melinda BamComplete your make-up regime with as little base product as possible, adding a thin line of eyeliner and lashings of mascara.
