Inside story: Interior designs of the times
A great reason to visit Decorex is the annual 100% Design South Africa show, showcasing inspirational interior design exhibitors. The featured designers are Dokter and Misses, a Joburg-based product design company headed by husband and wife Katy Taplin and Adriaan Hugo. Their designs are "typified by an Afro-modernist approach characterised by strong construction lines and bold use of colour".Included in the show is The Hub presented in association with Condé Nast House & Garden - a talks programme with free presentations by leading designers and industry experts including Tonic Design, Tessa Sonik and 100% Design organisers Laurence Brick and Cathy O'Clery. Every year O'Clery explores SA looking for 100 beautiful objects designed and produced locally.
