Fiction or fact on health put to test

What is the best diet for a malnourished child who is also overweight? What food eaten over a long period increases your risk of cancer? Research centre Cochrane Nutrition, attached to Stellenbosch University's Centre for evidence-based healthcare and the Medical Research Council, hopes to provide answers.The Stellenbosch-based centre aims to help academics and others better understand how food affects our health. It looks at a range of issues, from breastfeeding to the problem of overweight children who are also malnourished.Cochrane, an independent network of health researchers , has 53 centres around the world .Its main task is to make sense of an endless cycle of studies that, for example, on the one hand say butter is good for you and on the other find it is actually unhealthy. ..
