The SA Football Association's disciplinary hearing into the conduct of Bafana Bafana coach Ephraim "Shakes" Mashaba starts today but do not expect an outcome until next week.

He was suspended by Safa after a touchline rant that followed Bafana's 2-1 World Cup-qualifying victory over Senegal at Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane on November 12.

The coach was seen angrily gesticulating at Safa president Danny Jordaan ahead of a television interview with Safa media officer Matlhomola Morake attempting to calm the coach.

With a number of witnesses to be called, the hearing is expected to spill over into tomorrow or perhaps even next week.

An outcome seems likely only next week.

Safa seems intent on keeping a lid on proceedings.

Yesterday Safa communications head Dominic Chimhavi tweeted: "Received calls from media on Thursday's DC matter of suspended @BafanaBafana coach.

"Please note this is an internal matter! No Media allowed."

Bafana are in a strong position in the qualifiers for the 2018 Russia World Cup after an away draw with Burkina Faso and then the win over Senegal.
