The former couple separated in January 2012 after the actress cited "irreconcilable differences" when she filed for divorce two months later.

The split became official yesterday, bringing to an end 11 years of marriage.

The couple share joint custody of their three daughters - LucaBella, 15, Lola Ray, nine, and Fiona Eve, six - and have remained amicable throughout proceedings, according to E! Online.

In a joint statement at the time of their break-up, Jennie and the Twilight Saga star insisted they would stay "dedicated" to raising their children "together".

They said: "While we have decided to end our marriage, we both share the same deep love and devotion to our children.

"We remain dedicated to raising our beautiful daughters together. We ask for privacy and respect during this time."

The 90210 actress had since revealed one reason behind the split was their long distance relationship taking its toll despite their best efforts to make it work.

She previously admitted: "He would do everything he could to fly back every weekend," she admitted. "[But] it took a real toll on our marriage."
