'Chisa Mpama' musician Senyaka dies

The maker of hits 'Chisa Mpama' and 'Fong Kong' has passed away.

The lively musician who enjoyed an illustrious career in the 1980s to the late nineties provided hits which were party starters.

Kekana was a controversial character, he took Brenda Fassie on and the two had a well known disliking for each other. His hits, Chisa Mpama, Romeo Wa nkolota and Fong Kong were immensely popular.

Minister of Sport and Recreation, Fikile Mbalula confimed Kekana's death on his Twitter account today. He said: "Just got the news from @djmahoota that the legendary Senyaka moruti wa tsotsi is no more what a loss, great entertainer."

The cause of death is unknown.
