A Mpumalanga based group have claimed they were first to record the instrumentals found in AKA's upcoming single, 'Sim Dope.'

The group have accused AKA of blatantly stealing their musical arrangement which they allege cannot be a coincidence since they recorded their single in March last year.

AKA's Sim Dope was released on his sophomore album, Levels a few months later. According to The Juice, Kholofelo Sekatane who is associated to the group, said they had tried to reach out to AKA with no success.

"The instruments, especially when the song starts, are the same on Sim Dope."

AKA's producer, Tweezy explained that the beat was not the same because he had used a certain sound plug in to arrange it. He added that he slowed the beat down and in now way is it the exact same beat.
