Since Phil Collins announced that he is coming out of retirement after 13 years, many of his fans have expressed delight at the prospect of hearing new music from the iconic singer.

But one man from New York City, Brian Pee, felt that the world is suffering too much as it is without Collin's music contributing to the suffering.

Pee has started an online petition called 'Phil Collins must be stopped', which directed at the United Nations, asking them to intervene in making sure that Collins does not come out of retirement.

"Phil Collins has announced he is 'no longer in retirement'. There is far too much suffering in the world as it is. This must be stopped," read the petition.

There are already 555 supporters of the petition.
