An accident outside Idols judge Somizi Mhlongo’s house on Wednesday morning has reignited a fire within actress Samkelo Ndlovu. Only minutes after Somizi posted a picture of a taxi that had overturned outside his gate‚ the Rhythm City actress took to social media to relive her own traumatic encounters with reckless taxi drivers.A photo posted by Somizi (@somizi) on Apr 12, 2016 at 11:29pm PDTSumIn the lengthy post‚ Samkelo reflected on how she had been in two accidents where a taxi was to blame‚ and that her constant battles with them left her arriving “at work every day needing yoga”.“I was recently in a collision with a taxi driver who went into a robot that wasn't open for him. I never said a thing because the last time I was in an accident also caused by a taxi driver some years ago‚ the tabloids heard and tried to twist the story to say I abused alcohol and had an accident‚” she said.“Nonetheless‚ that car was fixed. My recent one was also fixed. But who paid all the excess to insurance? ME!!! The drivers both times had no licences! The traffic officers on the scene did not even flinch when they heard. How long are we going to keep quiet? They bully us on the roads‚” she added.Samkelo said reckless taxi drivers put their passengers and other motorists' lives at risk and that she did not feel safe driving on the roads.“Taxis make driving feel so hard. Most times I wish I could be air-lifted to work and back‚” she said. "Often the excuse is that they need to get where they are going‚ then what the hell are rest of us driving for? To play musical chairs on the road?!! This must stop!!!!”A photo posted by Samkelo Samu/Samurai Ndlovu (@samkelondlovu) on Apr 12, 2016 at 11:48pm PDTSom..
