Veteran actress Florence Masebe has come out strongly against an alleged racist incident which she witnessed on the set of Mzansi Magic’s telenovela, Ring of Lies.

Florence took to social media on Tuesday to lift the lid on the alleged incident which she has described on Twitter as “horrible.”

The actress was initially unsure on whether she should speak out about the incident, but later decided to bring it into the spotlight quoting what she witnessed.

“I can speak to you anyway I like because I’m white.’ This is what a crew member just said to our director who is a black man. Racism is out here dancing on our set,” Florence tweeted.

Speaking to TMG Entertainment on Tuesday, Florence declined to comment on the incident referring all queries to Mzansi Magic.

“I do not comment on my tweets, any official comment will have to be obtained from Mzansi Magic,” Florence said.

TMG understands Mzansi Magic is currently investigating the matter and was informed by the broadcaster that an official statement will be issued before the end of Tuesday.

The incident comes just one month after actress Enhle Mbali Mlotshwa also took to social media revealing that she allegedly witnessed racism on set of Afrikaans soapie 7de Laan.
