The 20-year-old songbird launched her album at a swanky party in Johannesburg last week.

Lil Red hopes to inspire teenagers to believe in themselves and their dreams through her music.

“The music I create I call ‘hippy rap’ and it’s all about being real and creating feel good music. My goal is to share my circumstances and situations through my music to hopefully inspire others.”

Lil Red says that she hopes to share the lessons she’s learnt as teenager through her music.

The young woman’s love for hip-hop has been a part of her life ever since she was a toddler.

“It’s incredible that females in the hip-hop industry have grown so much and are really being respected now. I’m so glad that I now have an opportunity to enhance that and by just staying real to me, I hope to inspire young girls to take a stand in whatever industry they choose to be in.”

Lil Red would love to collaborate with any one of the current hip-hop bigwigs who she is inspired by and takes valuable lessons from on a daily basis.
