L'Vovo Derango has dismissed swirling speculation, which claim that, in addition to his music career, he also runs a taxi business in Durban.

Speaking to Move!, the kwaito heavyweight denied the rumours of being a taxi owner, explaining that he spends most of his time at taxi ranks, particularly one near a train station in Durban, because a number of his friends are in that line of business.

"I'm not in the taxi business. I just love hanging out at the taxi rank because most of my friends are taxi owners," he told the local publication.

However, he hasn't ruled out the possibility of joining the taxi industry in the future.

"When the time is right, maybe I'll consider getting into the business. For now, I'm still nurturing my music career," he added.
