Masasa reflects on overcoming a difficult time in her life

It's been eight months since actress Masasa Mbangeni first opened up about battling with depression. But the good news is that Masasa seems to be in a much better space.

The former Scandal! actress took to social media where she revealed to fans that she's in a happier space- and attributes it all to God.

"When I think where I have been! When satan and hardship try to trip me. I look up to the hills and remember where my help comes from. Had it not been for the grace of God I'd be dead," she said on Instagram.

Masasa added that tough times should not change your attitude and love for God.

"He remains who He says He is whether we are happy or sad. Friends come and go, don't even send a whatsapp to say they care, you go down on your knees and pray and God is there. Always there. Ndiyabulela Bawo!," she added.

The actress first opened up about her struggle with depression in October last year through a heartfelt social media statement.

"I've been struggling with depression and just a lack of motivation to get up and live, never mind move. I'm not chasing a summer body cadres. I'm just fighting to be alive!," she said at the time.
