Die Antwoord are as controversial as they come. From outrageous videos to talking about taboo topics, you just know that there's nothing they fear.

Clearly having a moment of introspection, Ninja took to his Instagram account to detail how he feels about South Africa, explaining that he thinks a lot of people over the age of 20 are "culturally insecure."

"They are unable to present anything artistically that is relevant to the outside world," he said.

The rapper started off his insta-essay by saying Die Antwoord is the answer, but what is the question?

He then details how he feels about South Africa, explaining that he sees his home country as a mash-up of good and bad.

"South Africa is a strange place. It's wild and beautiful and dangerous and f*&ked up and violent and wonderful and mysterious and so many different things."

  •

Elaborating on why he thinks South African's don't do things that are "relevant for the outside world" Ninja said that it's not for a lack of trying.

"They try their best, but their shit just circles around internally for a while then eventually dies out."

  •

He was quick to point out that there are a few exceptions and mentioned some of the big names from South Africa who have "made it" overseas including Charlize Theron, Trevor Noah and Elon Musk, saying that when South African's do get "their sh*t together and blow up, they don't f*ck around."

Yoh. We wonder what AKA has to say about that!
