You'd think a fitness fiend and yogi such as Khabonina would talk resistant people into trying yoga, even if it's just for the first time. However, spoiler alert: she doesn't - or at least entirely.

Taking to her blog, Khabonina revealed that while she often advocates for the practice of yoga, she also needs to unpack its downside. (sort of).

But what downside you say? Well, according to the choreographer - these are just some of the (sarcastic) disadvantages:

1. No fun in judging people

It turns out yoga grants one a positive perspective, so that means if you take up the practice, you won't be able to poke fun at others, which Khabonina points out as being a "a bummer for some of your friends out who still enjoy a Mgosi [gossip] fest."

2. Yoga pants start to fill up your wardrobe

"You used to have nice things. Now you just have 1,000 pairs of yoga pants. What happened to you?" she wrote.

3. Crying in public

Turns out if you're not a fan of showing your emotions in public, then yoga isn't a good idea. Khabonina explained: "You never know when the teacher is going to say just the right thing, or when you are going to go into just the right heart opener and the water works will be turned on."

4. Can't run away from your feelings

Given that yoga connects the mind, body and soul, Khabonina suggests that "if you are someone who wants to run away from how you feel, you should most likely run from yoga."

5. Less drama in your life (which is boring, obviously)

It's apparently difficult to lead a drama-filled life when you're a yoga snob. "In fact, you may become someone who so enjoys peace that other people stop wanting to talk to you, esp re: Mgosi [gossip] because you just don’t get sucked into their dramas anymore, let alone your own,'' she said.
