'Till we meet again'- Connie Ferguson leaves the set of Generations: The Legacy

Popular actress Connie Ferguson has officially left the Generations building.

Just days after actor Rapulana Seiphemo (who plays the character of Tau Mogale on the soapie) returned to screens, his co-star Connie Ferguson made her Generations exit.

The actress filmed her last scenes for the show on Wednesday afternoon.

Talking to TMG Entertainment on Thursday, Generations spokesperson Gaaratwe Mokhethi said that there was hardly a dry tear on set as Connie said goodbye to her fellow cast members and the show's creator Mfundi Vundla.

"The cast and crew of the show paid their respects to her and expressed their gratitude for her professionalism, humility and grace. Mr. Mfundi Vundla was also present to personally thank Connie for her immense contribution to the success of Generations:The Legacy," Gaaratwe explained.

The show has thanked Connie for her contribution to the show's success.

"Karabo Moroka will forever be etched in our viewer’s memories. It was Connie’s skill and talent that truthfully told Karabo’s story and for that we’ll eternally be grateful to her," she said.

Connie took to Instagram following her farewell to share a message with her fans and co-stars.

Calling it "an emotional day", Connie posted a quote on saying goodbye and thanked them for their support. She finished her message by writing: "Till we meet again."

Her co-stars, including JT Medupe, took to the comments section of the post to express their love and thanks to her.

Connie announced her departure from the show in April, confirming the news to TMG Entertainment. This has been her second stint on the show.
