Black Coffee may have just concluded a collaboration with US superstar Alicia Keys, but his next collaboration might be a little closer to home.

The DJ recently revealed to Vuzu that he is in the process of trying to secure a collaboration with Nigerian singer Wizkid.

"I have been talking to Wiz, Wizkid, and it's just about finding the time. Most of the time he's in LA, so it's just about finding the time. I've always wanted to do some work with him," Black Coffee said.

He also revealed that he likes Nigerian artist Davido and would also consider working with him.

"For me, who is more accessible? Like, who can I find first? And are we in the same space musically? For me, that is the most important thing," he added.

He revealed that he often chooses his collaborations according to how he and the artist gel.

"I hate just going in because you have a name and a good record, but can we really vibe in studio? I just feel like with Wiz, I feel a lot of musicality in his stuff," he said.

Black Coffee says that he still feels like he hasn't explored himself enough musically and would like to move towards production. On that note, he revealed that he is currently part of the production team on P. Diddy's upcoming album.

Black Coffee has just released a remix of Alicia Keys' hit single In Common and he explained the influence behind the remix.

"I kept it as local as possible. If anyone knows that old Black Coffee local house sound, because it felt like that was what they were trying to do with the original. It felt like that song could have been on my first album," he said.
